The Driving Force...

"So shall they fear The name of the LORD from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a standard against him." Isaiah 59:19

The more we seek the Lord, desiring to please Him and bring glory to His name, the more the enemy comes against us.  The more of a threat we become to the enemy, the more severe and the more frequent his attacks will be upon our life.  As the children of God we can expect the adversary to give us all he has!  And as sure as the attacks will come, just as sure will our Lord be to fight for us!  As the enemy comes with all he has the Bible tells us the Holy Spirit will lift up a standard against him.  This does not mean the Spirit will merely shelter us from the attacks of the enemy, it means He will chase the adversary from us!  The Spirit of God fights for us!  The more we work the Great Commission, embracing God's heart for the lost, the more popular are name will become in hell!  When your name becomes known in hell the attacks of the enemy will come in like a flood, but fear NOT!  The Lord is with you!  He will not only protect you, but He will FIGHT for you, as He lifts up a standard against the enemy driving him from your presence!
