Be Not Dismayed...

"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Fear is the destroyer of faith!  It is the preferred weapon of our enemy.  The devil uses fear to keep us away from God and all He has for us.  In our verse God tells us to "fear not" for He is with us!  He also tells us to "be not dismayed".  Dismayed means to gaze up on; to take note of something; to look around in amazement at what is going on.  God is telling us not to become focused on what the enemy is doing!  The devil is real and so is his work, but he is powerless against us, unless we take note of him, giving him a foothold in our life.  When we began to focus on the work of the devil we will be grasped by fear, and miss out on all God wants to do in our lives!  The devil is a lying, thieving, murderer and we are not to stand around gazing in amazement at  his destructive works.  When we become impressed with satan's work we lose the blessings of God.  Everything satan does is fear based, he moves us by fear.  If fear is causing you to do something it's not God.  God moves us by His Spirit according to His Word.  As the Saints of God we will never notice a closed Heaven over our lives where the blessings of God are being poured out upon us, until we become focused on what the devil is doing.  When we focus on what the devil is doing we open the "gates of hell" and allow the enemy to operate in our life.  Stay focused on the Lord and His all powerful, unfailing Word!  Stay in agreement with God's Word and the "Gates of Heaven" will stay opened in your life, and God's might and power will flow through you.  You will be a "Gateway" for the power and blessings of Heaven to flow through into this world, and satan will have no power over you!
