Act Of Worship...

^"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship."  

Romans 12:1

We are encouraged to take into account the riches of God's mercy, and the fact that we could never repay Him for all He has done.  When we do this it will not be such a difficult thing to offer all of who we are to the Lord.  When we truly offer all of ourselves to the Lord we will live for Him.  We will live in a way that brings glory to God.  We will not partake in the things of this worldly system: sex outside of the covenant of marriage, gossip, theft of any kind, drunkenness; all the things the flesh desires will become un-appealing to us.  We will begin to serve God, witnessing to others of His goodness and saving grace.  We will gladly serve in our local church as a member of the body of Christ furthering the Kingdom of God, we will not only tithe but we will give above and beyond so that the Gospel can be proclaimed throughout the world.  And, when we live like this, as an offering to the Lord, it is a spiritual act of worship!  It is a form of worship that goes beyond singing a song, or clapping ones hands.  This kind of worship is a way of life; it is a form of spiritual worship that brings glory to God!  I encourage you today, offer all that you are to the Lord, become a living worship service for the entire world to see!  

^"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2
