Released...

"But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter." Romans 7:6

Paul uses the example of losing a spouse and being free to re-marry to another person, when trying to explain our relationship to the Law and Christ.  Now that Jesus has come and died in our place we are free from the Law and its power of death.  Now that we are separated by death from the Law we are married to another, and that other is Jesus!  Now that we are with Jesus we can live a life full of undeserved favor and grace!  And, this undeserved favor and grace has nothing to do with our accomplishments, nor is it in anyway related to the Law.  It is only because of what Jesus has done that we receive this favor and grace! 

Everything we receive from Jesus is apart from the Law!  God's grace has nothing to do with our ability to keep His righteous Law; and the Law is indeed righteous!  The problem was never God's Law; it was man's inability to keep it.  Jesus has made us right with God!  We are separated from the Law, and we should never try to foolishly use the Law to justify ourselves before God as worthy, or even unworthy, of His grace, favor, and mercy!  We are joined to Jesus and everything we receive from God is because of what He did, and because we are loved by our Father in Heaven!  Enjoy your freedom from the Law, and allow the Spirit of God to lead you into living righteously through Christ, by His power and His finished world on the cross!  

"But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit." Titus 3:4-5
