We Have A Choice...

"Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts." Romans 6:11-12

There was a time before we knew Jesus as our Lord and Savior that sin dominated our lives.  We were servants to sin, where it led we followed.  But, Jesus set us free from the power and authority sin once had over us.  Now we no longer must follow its lead.  Unfortunately too many Christians still submit themselves to sin; they allow sin to guide their every move.  But, that doesn't have to be the case!  We can choose to forbid sin to have a part in our lives!  The people who still live without the saving grace of Jesus Christ do not have that choice, but the children of God do!  Let us choose daily to forbid sin from leading us!  Let us submit daily to the guidance of the Holy Spirit!  May we use our bodies and minds for the glory of God!  May we reject any attempt sin may make to gain control of us!  We are the children of God; representatives of the Kingdom of God on this earth!  Let us live exceptional lives under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, refusing to allow the enemy to bring us under the law of sin and death that we have been freed from!

"And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." Romans 6:13-14
