Saving Grace...

"But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they." Acts 15:11

As more Gentiles were added to the early church a dispute among the Jewish believers arose.  Many of the Jewish believers felt the new Gentiles who were accepting the Gospel message should be made to follow the Law of Moses.  In response Peter declares, "Why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?"  Peter makes it very clear to all around that the only way the Gentiles or Jews could or would be saved was by the grace of God!

Grace, it is getting something from God that we don't deserve!  Salvation comes only by Grace!  We don't deserve it and we can't earn it, but because of God's great love we receive it by faith through Jesus Christ!  In fact, all that we receive from God is by grace!  Every answered prayer comes only by grace!  We can in no way merit ourselves before God!  If you want to receive from God it will have to be by grace through faith!  God loves us!  And, He delights to freely give anyone and everyone salvation when they call on the name of "Jesus"!  He also delights in answering His children's prayers and providing for their needs; and He does it just because He loves us!

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
