"And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it--lest you even be found to fight against God." Acts 5:38-39

 

As the Jewish leaders questioned the disciples, looking for any way to stop them from preaching about Jesus to the people, one of their leaders, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, stands up and tells everyone there's no need to worry.  He tells the other leaders that if what the disciples are doing is of God nothing can stop it, and if it is not of God it will fade away.  But, because their teachings were from God, the Gospel message they preached would continuously spread, as it still does to this day, and it continues to spread because as Gamaliel said, "If it is of God, you cannot overthrow it." 

 

If God is behind what we're doing we can't be stopped!  We like the first disciples may face challenges and struggles, but if we are doing what God has called us to do we cannot be stopped!  If God has called you to a ministry or even a job and you are facing difficulties, don't quit!  God has called you to it and He will see you through it; no one can stop you!  The enemy may war against you and cause you pain and heartache, but if you hold your ground he can't stop you!  Remember, if God is in it, nothing can overthrow you!
