"For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther 4:14

 

Esther was a Jewish orphan girl raised by her cousin Mordecai.  Through a chain of events the Lord would move her into the palace, and she would eventually become the queen of Persia.  The hand of God was upon Esther, for she found favor with all those in the palace, including the king.  There would come a moment when Esther's people would face annihilation.  Mordecai encourages Esther to approach the king on behave of the Jewish nation.  Mordecai reasons with her while she is bound by fear to take into account that this may be the very reason God brought her into the palace, to save her people from extinction.  Despite of her fear Esther would approach the king and by the grace of God become the deliverer of her people.

 

Through God's divine purpose He places us in situations and areas of service that we would never choose for ourselves, and conceivably places we could never see ourselves being or achieving success.  Yet we remember that God is sovereign and often the plans we have for our life and those God has do not match up.  Perhaps today you find yourself in a place you would never have chosen for yourself.  Perhaps the Lord has you there for a very specific purpose.  Perhaps you will be the difference in some soul's eternal destination.  Perhaps God has placed you where you are for a time to come, a time when you will bring glory to His name, a time when you will be a voice of hope to a lost and dying world.  Wherever the Lord has placed you, trust Him and allow Him to have His way in your life!
