"I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food." Job 23:12

 

We can say without hesitation that the Word's of God are true treasure!  Earthly treasures such as gold and diamonds that men seek after and kill each other for can hold absolutely no comparison to the Word of God.  The Word of God is the only thing we now have that will last forever.  In Jeremiah the Bible declare God's Word is like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces!  God's Word is all powerful!  As we speak the Word of God over our life and the lives of our families we release the power of God into our world.  The Word has the power to deliver us from any situation!  When the Word is spoken in faith, mountains will move!  The Word is to be treasured! 

 

Job recognized that God's Word was more necessary to his existence than food!  This is a realization that we should all have!  Sadly though, there are many Christians who will go a full weak without ever opening their Bible.  They dare not miss a meal, while their soul starves to death void of God's Word! The Word of God is more necessary for the Christian than the food we use to nourish our physical bodies.  Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God."  Take time every day to read God's Word!  Speak the Word daily over you and your family in your prayer time!  The Word of God brings life!  It will bring life to whatever situation you are faced with today, if you will only speak it in faith!

 

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." Joshua 1:8
