The Light Of Jesus...

"And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." John 3:19

Darkness could be simply defined as the absence of light.  This world without Jesus is absent of Light!  Light breaks through the darkness bringing truth.  Truth forces us to see ourselves and our surroundings as they truly are.  The light of Jesus Christ reveals the truth of our character and deeds.  It was only in the light of Jesus that Peter saw himself as a sinful man, and found the truth of salvation.  And, it is only in that same "Light" that you and I can find truth and salvation.  Men by their natural nature hate the light, because it reveals things we would just as soon ignore.  But, ignorance is not bliss!  Ignorance of our sinful and foolish ways always leads to destruction.  Allow the light of Jesus Christ to shine brightly in your life exposing the things that would hold you back from a closer relationship with Him.  And, once these things are exposed allow the Holy Spirit to lead you to repentance; that is a change of mind about how you perceive these areas of your life.  Jesus is light and He always exposes the truth!  Today let the light of Jesus Christ speak truth into your life!

"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 8:31-32
