A Changed Man...

"Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, 'Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.'" Luke 19:8

Zacchaeuss was a tax collector, robbing and taking advantage of people unfairly was a way of life for him.  But, one day Jesus came to his town and Zacchaeuss dinned with him.  One meal with Jesus changed Zacchaeuss forever!  Zacchaeuss went from a thief to a giver!

That's how it is when we meet up with Jesus.  One open heart encounter with the Master will change a person forever!  When we open our hearts to Jesus as Zacchaeuss did to his home, Jesus will surely come in.  When Jesus enters a person by the Holy Spirit the Bible declares that person is born again.  Born again of the Spirit of God.  Born again with new desires and longing.  When a person is truly born again, they like Zacchaeuss can't help but become outward focused.  The born again man or woman should be focused on the needs of others; on the desires of their Lord.  When Jesus enters a person heart they cannot help but be changed!  A person who says they are born again, yet remains unchanged would be wise to take a long look in the mirror and examine whether or not Jesus is truly living in their heart.

"Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" John 3:3
