Pray Often...

"But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." Luke 5:16

Jesus made it a habit to pray! Actually it was more than a habit, it was a priority! Jesus made time to pray, because He truly understood the power behind it. Often Christians talk about the power of prayer, but their lackadaisical attitude towards it tells another story. We talk about prayer, but in our busy schedules it is often shifted to the back of our "to do list". Martin Luther once said, "Work, work from early till later. In fact I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer." Martin Luther saw his extra load of duties as a reason to pray more, not less. There truly is power in prayer! And, indeed we all live busy lives, but prayer must be a priority! If we are going to see the overcoming victorious power of God in our life we will have to spend time in prayer! Make prayer a priority in your life! Maybe you can't spend three hours a day in prayer, but make time to step into your "prayer closet" and spend some intimate time with your Heavenly Father. You won't regret it! And, your busy schedule will find a way to be done more proficient in the power of the Lord! Pray often!!!
