Because of the hardness of their hearts the children of Israel often considered themselves in desperate need of God's mercy! Yet, it wasn't until everything had fallen apart around them that they would begin to look for His mercy. The truth is they were always in need of His mercy, even when it seemed everything was going good. The same is true for us! We often only look for the mercy of God when we are in trouble up to our ears, and that shouldn't be the case! Our Heavenly Father is at all times ready to pour His mercy out upon us! There is not a day that goes by that we don't need His mercy! God's mercy is always following us, but we too often fail to recognize it. Take time today to recognize the mercy of God in your life!
