"For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.  But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God."  

John 3:20-21

Jesus, the Word of God that became flesh is the Light of the world.  He is the Light that exposes sin and self-living.  He is the Word that reveals when we are living in error, and the path we should be walking.  Still there are many who hate the Light for this very fact.  Many who are living outside the Word of God according to their own standards would like to stay right where they are.  They do want their evil deeds exposed; they desire to stay living in sin, ignoring the truth.  They avoid God's Word because they understand it will reveal the truth of their life.  They live a life of ignorance and avoidance.  But, there are many who love the Light!  They realize the Light which is God's Word will expose where they are in error, and show them the path they need to be on.  As we get closer to Jesus we will all find the Light revealing things in our life that need to change, this is a great thing.  Because when the Light reveals these things if we are willing the Word will change them.  The Spirit of God will set us on the right path.  Don't avoid the Light of God's Word!  It will reveal things in your life that need to be corrected, and that is a good thing, if you allow God to change those things!  Be blessed as you walk in the Truth and Light of God's eternal Word!
