Refreshing...

"He will be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth." Psalm 72:6

David writes prophetically about the reign of his son Solomon.  But, it not only speaks of Solomon, it also is a prophetic picture of Jesus Christ our King.  The psalm speaks of the abundance and blessing the king will bring, and Solomon's reign indeed saw such a time throughout Israel.  After all the wars Israel faced throughout the reigns of Saul and David, Solomon's reign brought a time of refreshment.  Israel experienced a time of peace and prosperity untold! The same can be said of the rule of our King.  Those who come to Christ have the opportunity to experience peace and prosperity through Him.  Jesus takes us out of turmoil and gives us a peace that cannot be understood.  Through Christ the time of war has come to an end!  Jesus has brought peace and victory to the Church!  Yes, the forces of darkness will continue to battle us but the war has already been won!  If the battles of life are getting you down look to the King and allow Him to refresh you!  He is a King of victory and prosperity, of peace and abundance. Look expectantly to Him and allow the refreshing waters of the Holy Spirit to renew your spirit today!

"Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." 3 John 1:2
