Standing Faith...

"The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah's son. If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all" Isaiah 7:9

When Ahaz was king he and Judah faced a devastating force that threatened to over through the nation and set up a new king in Ahaz's place.  The Lord sends word by the prophet Isaiah telling Ahaz to relax!  This threat was real!  The combined forces of this threat had to seem overwhelming but they would not be successful in their campaign against Judah, for God was ready to stand and fight for Judah!  Ahaz is warned by the prophet, "If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all" Ahaz was going to have to trust that God was faithful to His Word!  Ahaz was going to have to stand in faith, or fall at the lack of it!

This is a true word for all believers, "If we do not stand firm in our faith, we will not stand at all!"  Faith is trusting in God's Eternal Word so much that we act on it alone, despite what our eyes may behold!  If we choose to live by faith there is no mountain we cannot get past, no giant we cannot overcome!  With only a "mustard seed" portion of faith we can move mountains!  Whatever you find yourself facing today remember, "You are MORE than a conqueror"!  Stand firm in your faith!  Refuse to listen to the lies of the devil!  Stand firm in your faith, or you will not stand at all!

"Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Mark 9:23
