"For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb." Psalms 139:13

David had become full aware that God created him for a purpose.  David would fulfill God's purpose for his life, although he would definitely travel some bumpy roads.  While David was still in his mother's womb God shaped him and formed him to be the king of Israel.  David chose to follow after the purpose God had created him for in spite of all the opposition he would face in fulfilling this purpose.  David would be king!

Just as God formed David with a specific purpose in mind He has done the same for each of us.  And just as David got to chose to do what God created him for, so we each get to choose.  We can choose to follow the path God has for us, or we can follow our own.  If we choose to walk the path God has planned for us we can expect to face opposition just as David did.  That opposition can come with the face of a family member, a friend, or someone we hardly know, but whatever the face the true opposition that tries to keep us away from all God has for us is satan and his demonic horde.  The enemy doesn't want you to "be all you can be" in Christ!  The enemy would prefer you take the easy way out, and quit!  We must each walk the path God has planned for our lives; we must do it in the face opposition regardless of what face that opposition comes in.  Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, walking the path He laid for us, "enduring hardness as good soldiers in Christ"! At the end of our life let us be able to say as the apostle Paul did "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."

"who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began" 2 Timothy 1:9
