"Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me." Psalm 51:10

After David had sinned with Bathsheba and had her husband killed, he was confronted by the prophet Nathan concerning his sin.  David writes this psalm at that time as a broken man, haunted by his foolish sins.  David made a wise choice when he asked the Lord to take away his sins and cleanse him from his iniquity.  David knew he served a merciful God, who was always ready to pour mercy out on all who called on Him.  David needed a renewing, and that's exactly what he got.  Perhaps today your life is tattered with sinful acts that seek to destroy you. Perhaps you like David had a strong relationship with the Lord, but one bad decision followed by another has led you into the arms of the "enemy".  If that is you, there's good news!  If you will call on the name of the Lord He will deliver you!  We serve a merciful God who is always ready to pour out His mercy.  If you need a renewing call on the Lord and allow Him to lift you up!  Don't allow the enemy to destroy you with quilt and condemnation!  The Lord is ready to lift you up out of the enemies clutches, all you have to do is turn your eyes towards Heaven and call on His name!
