"For I will not trust in my bow, Nor shall my sword save me. But You have saved us from our enemies, And have put to shame those who hated us." Psalm 44:6-7

We live in a culture that highly admires strength and self achievement.  We are taught and encouraged to be self-reliant, and to but faith in our own abilities.  But, the Bible teaches something very different.  The Bible teaches us to put no faith in our own abilities; instead we are to put all of our faith and trust in the Lord.  Instead of relying on our own strength we are to rely on God's strength.  In are psalm today the writer although equipped with a bow and sword knows his deliverance will come only from the Lord.  Let us be a wise as the psalmist and put our faith in the Lord!  Let us rely on Him to fight our battles for us! Yes, we may be fully equipped to fight any battle that comes our way, but true and lasting victory will only be found in allowing the Lord to fight for us!  Allow God to take you through whatever fight you may find yourself in today!  Trust in the power of His might, and you will live victorious no matter what comes your way!
