God is always listening, and He is always speaking!  The problem is not that God is being silent; the problem is we're not hearing.  God is always speaking to us in one way or the other, often in ways that go unnoticed.  God speaks ever so softly to our hearts, but in the midst of our chaotic lives we often cannot hear Him, or we don't slow down long enough to distinguish His voice.  God also speaks to us through the Bible.  The Bible is different from any other book, for it is the living Word of God!  As we prayerfully read the Bible God speaks to us, the words become alive as they minister to our every need.  If you're having trouble hearing God, or wondering why He never seems to respond to you, slow down and spend some time in the Bible.  Allow God to speak to your heart through His eternal Word.  God is always ready to have a two way conversation with His children.
