Every born again child of God carries around an "old nature" that desires to rebel against God.  Our "old nature" has a presumptuous attitude about itself that it can do whatever it wants, and given the opportunity it will!  The only One who is strong enough to keep our "old nature" pinned up is the Lord.  As His children we must learn to rely on His strength daily to live a life free of presumptuous sin.  No amount of self-discipline can deliver us from our "old nature", but God can!  God is able to daily gives us the strength and focus we need to live a life of self-denial, saying "yes" to Him and "no" to our self and the enemy.  Trust in the Lord to keep you from willful sin, and to keep you living a life that brings glory to His name!
