Advice is something many are willing to give.  And, regrettably there are many Christians who are ready to take advice from anyone.  As God's children we must be cautious who we take advice from, and even more cautious of where they are getting their advice from.  The Apostle Paul told the Philippian believers they would do well to follow his example, for Paul was following the example of Jesus.  Now that was good advice!  Follow only those who are actively following Jesus!  Only take advice from those who are getting their counsel from the Word of God!  Those who are not the children of God, or those who get their counsel from a source other than God's Word are going to lead us down a path of destruction!  Stay away from the counsel of the ungodly, even if they are friends or family.  As the children of God we need godly advice and that can only come from God's Word!
