Prospering...

"Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the LORD his God.  And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered." 2 Chronicles 31:20-21

Hezekiah was a godly king who sought the Lord in all he did.  Hezekiah had a desire to please God.  He acknowledged God in all his ways.  Because Hezekiah sought God with all his heart he was a prosperous king.  Under his rule Judah was a blessed nation.

We all desire to live prosperous lives, but too often we miss out on a true prosperity, because we fail to seek the Lord with all our heart.  We seek after prosperity, instead of seeking after the Lord.  As children of God we can only find real prosperity when we seek after the Lord.  It is in the presence of the Lord that we find fullness of joy.  So prosperity that brings joy cannot be found without seeking after God with all we are.  If we desire to live prosperous we are going to have to abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  That means we need to stay close to God.  A prosperous person has one desire, and that is to seek and know the Lord.  If you want to live prosperous get in the presence of God and stay there!

"You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Psalms 16:11
