"So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the LORD his God." 2 Chronicles 27:6

Jotham was a great king in Judah.  He was successful, and he prospered in his reign as king.  Jotham's strength was rooted in his steady and determined life of obedience to God. Jotham set his heart on God's Word and walked after the Lord, living a life of trust and faith.

Steady and determined is a good way for us to approach our walk with the Lord.  Steady, for we are in a lifelong race.  There are bumps and pitfalls in this race of life, but if we remain firm in the truth of God's Word we will live victorious and successful lives.  We must also be determined to follow through with God.  There will be those who turn from the Lord, but we must determine in our heart that we will never be moved!  Let us live steady and determined lives as we follow the Lord, and in doing so our relationship with the Lord will flourish and our lives will be full of victory and success!
