"You have kept what You promised Your servant David my father; You have both spoken with Your mouth and fulfilled it with Your hand, as it is this day." 2 Chronicles 6:15

It was in David's heart to build a house for the Lord, but God tells him he will not be the one to build it.  The Lord tells David that his son Solomon will be the one to build a house for His name.  Now many years after this Word is spoken to David the Temple is completed by Solomon, and as Solomon and all of Israel dedicated the Temple we are reminded that what God promises God delivers by His own hand.

Our God has no limits and He needs no help in completing what He has spoken!  When God speaks something it is a certainty He will fulfill it by His own hand!  Perhaps today you find yourself holding tight to a promise God has spoken to your heart, or even a promise you have read from the Bible.  Even though you hold tight to this promise you find yourself wondering how God will fulfill what He has spoken.  You have no strength or ability of your own to bring this promise about, nor does anyone you know.  As you hold tight to this promise and time passes you've begun to think there is no way it will ever become a reality in your life.  If this is you today, know this; God is no limited by our strengths and abilities.  When God gives a promise He is not expecting us to fulfill it, that's His job.  God does not share our limitations!  His word never returns void, it always does what it was sent out to do.  So if God has promised something to you and it hasn't become a reality to you yet, hold tight!  Continue to stand on God's Word knowing that what God has promised He will fulfill by His own hand in His own time!

"Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise" Hebrews 10:35-36
