"Go, inquire of the LORD for me, for the people and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that has been found; for great is the wrath of the LORD that is aroused against us, because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us."  

2 Kings 22:13

When Josiah realized Judah had not been keeping God's statues he sought the Lord's guidance.  Josiah sent men to inquire of the prophetess Huldah concerning the Lord's will.  Although the men did not return with good news, Josiah accepted the word of the Lord.  Josiah desired the Lord's guidance, went after it, and received it as it was without deviating from it.

In all we do the Lord wants to guide us.  He has given us the Holy Spirit to be our guide on this earth.  If we will seek the Lord in all we do, He will direct our path.  There are times when the Lord guides us in paths we are uncomfortable with or flat out don't like!  But we must always remember the Lord is leading us in paths of righteousness for His name sake and not ours.  When you have sought the Lord and you know you are following the path He has laid for you, but you don't understand why it is so difficult to walk the path He has laid, and there seems to be so many challenges and negative things going on around, remember, all things though they may not seem good, work together for good to them who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.
