Let It Go...
"There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself." Proverbs 11:24-25
How can saving and storing up lead to poverty? And how can scattering what you have lead to increase? Talk about a biblical principal that makes no sense! When I give for the expansion of God's Kingdom on this earth He gives me more that I may continue to be a blessing! When I refuse to give to the work of the Kingdom, and hold on to my money, the Lord has no need to increase my finances, because I am only using it for myself and not the Kingdom! We have no trouble believing God's word when it talks about salvation by grace, we don't fully understand it, but we embrace it, and rejoice in it! Yet when it comes to giving as the Bible teaches us, many times we struggle with it. We too often see the money we posses as ours, and forget we are only stewards of it. We live in fear that if we give for the furtherance of God's Kingdom as He directs us to, we will be without. We forget God is our provider, and all we have came from Him and is His. Giving is nothing more than an act of faith! It is faith in God's word that we know will never fail! Believe God! Release what God has entrusted you with, that it may be used for the work of the Kingdom, and trust God to return it and more to your care that you may continue to use it for His purpose. We have been blessed, so that we may be a blessing!
"He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like foliage." Proverbs 11:28
