"He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, And He has set the world upon them." 1 Samuel 2:8

Hannah understood restoration. God had raised her from the dust of her anguish. Her tormented spirit had been taken from the ash heap, restored and renewed. By the grace of God Hannah's broken heart was healed as the joy of the Lord overtook her, and she conceived and bore a son.

Our Lord is a restorer! He takes the ashes of our lives, and replaces them with His joy and love. No matter how broken we may be, the Lord is able to mend and restore us. All we need do is cast all of our cares on the Lord and allow Him to carry them. God is willing to take all of our hurts, worries, and pains and give us peace, healing, and joy. Know that God loves and cares for you. If you are burdened today, call out to the Lord! Allow the Savior of your soul to lift you up and restore you; He desires to do such!

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
