Persevere...

"So it was, year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, that she provoked her; therefore she wept and did not eat." 1 Samuel 1:7

Hannah was constantly tormented by Peninnah, because she had no children. Hannah was in a state of desperation and anguish. She wanted children but couldn't conceive. In the mist of this disappointment she was persecuted by Peninnah, who had children. Hannah experienced real heartache and had real problems, but through it all she persevered. Hannah never stopped seeking the Lord through all her trials, and in the end she was rewarded!

In life we face many trials and disappointments; life doesn't always turn out like we thought it would. Yet in the face of this fact stand the Grace of God. This is a Grace that carries us in times when we are week. It is the same Grace that sustained Hannah and rewarded her with children. We like Hannah must persevere through our trials! We must never quite! If we will only stay faithful to God, and keep-on keeping-on, we will see God's Grace bring His provision to our lives! In all things, at all times, hold tight to God's Word while you persevere, waiting for the Lord to move.

"Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:30-31
