"Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her." Ruth 1:14

When Naomi, who was a widow, loses both of her sons she tells her daughter-in-laws to go back to their father's home. They both loved Naomi and wept bitterly at Naomi's request. Orpah left as Naomi requested, but Ruth refused to leave. Ruth embraced Naomi and the God of Israel. Ruth clung to Naomi, purposing in her heart that she would never leave her! Ruth's life was forever changed that day she chose to embrace Naomi, making Naomi's God her God!

When we chose to embrace Jesus it changes everything! From that moment on nothing is ever the same! The "embrace" is when we make the choice to follow Jesus wherever He may lead us. It's more than just reciting a prayer or signing a church membership card. A true "embrace" is all about abandoning ourselves for Him. Ruth left behind all she had ever known when she chose to embrace Naomi. When we embrace Jesus He embraces us, and when that happens we are transformed into a child of God! If you have never embraced Jesus, let this be the day you make that choice! Embrace Jesus and your life will never be the same!
