"When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, The LORD is with you, mighty warrior." Judges 6:12

In a time when Median dominated itself over Israel an angel of the Lord appeared unto a man of Israel named Gideon. As Gideon was threshing wheat the angel called out to him, "Mighty Warrior". I can only imagine what Gideon's expression must have been; I can see him looking around to see who else was nearby. Seeing no one around Gideon had to think the angel was confused. Gideon tells the angel that his family is weakest of all families in the tribe of Manasseh and he was the runt of the family; surely the angel had misspoken. Yet, the angel had not misspoken! The angel recognized that God was with Gideon, and because of this fact Gideon was indeed a "Mighty Warrior"!

When God is with us it changes everything! Gideon could only see himself in his own might, therefore he appeared as a weakling. But God saw Gideon through His might, and therefore he was a "Mighty Warrior"! It is in the strength of Christ that we are made "Mighty"! It is in His strength that we become more than conquerors! Know today that in Christ, you like Gideon are a "Mighty Warrior"! Regardless of you past failures, or your inadequacies, God is with you and therefore you are "Mighty"! See yourself as the "Mighty Warrior" God declares you to be, and you will live in the might of His strength overcoming all obstacles!
