The Power Of Praise...
"Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up. Indeed I have delivered the land into his hand." Judges 1:2-3
Throughout the Bible we see God instructed the tribe of Judah to lead Israel. When Israel traveled through the wilderness it was Judah who led the way. When they entered the Promised Land it was again Judah who would lead them in. In many of the battles they fought we find God telling Israel to have Judah lead the way. Judah would again and again go before the rest of Israel, leading the way as God blessed them over and over. We find that the word "Judah" literally means "Praise". So throughout Israel's journeys we find that "Praise" would lead them. Praise was to always come first. Praise would lead Israel into victory and blessings!
Praising God will lead us into victory and blessings! Praise lifts our eyes off of us and our problems onto the Great and All-Powerful God who has taken us as His children, and desires to bless us! Praise will always lead us into what God has promised! Praise should always come first! The Bible tells us to "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name." We are to come before the Lord with praise and thanksgiving. It is praise and thanksgiving that propel us into His presence! Praise the Lord daily! Give thanks always to Him! Allow praise to lead you out of the wilderness, into a land of promise God has prepared for you! Allow praise to lead you in victoriously taking back all the enemy has stolen from you! Praise God continually and you will continually see His power at work in your life!
"And she conceived again and bore a son, and said, Now I will praise the LORD. Therefore she called his name Judah. Then she stopped bearing." Genesis 29:35
