"You shall not at all do as we are doing here today-every man doing whatever is right in his own eyes" Deuteronomy 12:8

Right and wrong sometimes do not appear so black and white to us. Our personal up-bringing, our past experiences, all the things that we have been exposed to play a role in how we determine right and wrong. Yet, for all we have experienced there is truly only one experience that should be allowed to influence our decisions on right and wrong, and that is our experience with Christ. When we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior the Holy Spirit came to live inside of us, and now He guides us into all truth. As we read the Bible the Holy Spirit shows us right and wrong as defined by God's Law. We must remove our past values and experiences that do not line up with God's Word when determining right and wrong. There will always be numerous opinions concerning right and wrong but the only one that counts is Gods, and the only way to truly understand God's thoughts on right and wrong is through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
