"When you have eaten and are full, then you shall bless the LORD your God for the good land which He has given you." Deuteronomy 8:10

Israel is reminded not to forget God when they come into the Promised Land. God was getting ready to bless the socks off of Israel. God was going to give them houses they didn't build, vineyards they didn't plant, and wells they had not dug. He was going to give them wisdom and insight to gain wealth. They are warned not to forget who it was that blessed them and gave them the ability to gain wealth.

God is continually blessing us today! And like the Israelites of old we would do well not to forget all of God's blessings. All the good things we have didn't come to us because of our superiority; they have come to us because of God's grace. We live in the most blessed and prosperous nation in the world, because God blessed the people of this nation with the wisdom and ingenuity to grow and prosper. It is the blessing of God that makes us rich, and nothing else! Let us always remember that the Lord our God has provided all we have, and let us never fail to continually give thanks for it all!

"Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name." Hebrews 13:15
