"For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and you shall fall by the sword; because you have turned away from the LORD, the LORD will not be with you." Numbers 14:43

After the Israelite had rebelled against the Lord and He had pronounced judgment on them they thought they could go ahead and take things into their own hands. They thought if they now went and attacked the people of the Promised Land God would be with them. They were mistaken! They thought God would be following them, they didn't understand they were supposed to follow God! It would be a devastating mistake!

The same is true today; we are to follow God, not the other way around. God has given us the Holy Spirit to lead and direct us. He is to direct us, we are not to direct Him. When we try to take the lead we always get ourselves into trouble. We must allow God to guide us in all things, realizing He is the Lord and we are the servants. Allow God to take the lead today, and your day will be blessed in every way!

"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come." John 16:13
