"Then the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS." Luke 1:30-31

Nearly two thousand years ago Mary, along with the entire world would receive the ultimate Christmas gift. Mary had found favor in the eyes of God, and had been chosen to bring forth the Son of God into this world. He would rightfully be named Jesus, for He would be the savior of the world. Jesus would, and still does save all who call on Him. He has a name that is above all names. It is indeed the only name given by which men and women of all races and tongues may be saved. Jesus took on the sins of the entire world. He became a sin offering, and offering that was big enough to atone for the sins of all mankind, for all time. Jesus, the greatest gift ever given, and the only gift that continues to give to the world, even after nearly two thousand years.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17
