"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." Genesis 50:20

Joseph's life had been a "wild ride"! As a teenager he was visited by the Lord and shown a picture of his future. From there he was betrayed by his own brothers and sold into slavery. Then he was sent to prison, falsely accused of a crime he did not commit. Then from the prison, the lowest point in his life, God raised him up to rule in Egypt. All through Joseph's life God was always there leading and directing him. God took the evil actions of his brothers and turned them into good to save a multitude of lives!

As a child of God we have the assurance that our Lord is always with us. In good and bad times, He's right there with us. When we can't make sense of things we can rest assured that He has everything under control. We must never forget that God sees a picture we can't, and He has our best interest at heart. God is working out his masterful plan to secure our eternal future in His Kingdom. Everything that happens in our lives is not good, nor is it all God's perfect will, but God is able to take all things and turn them into good. No matter how rough things may be for you today, know that God is in control. Lean back and rest in the loving arms of your Father, and allow Him to work everything out according to His plan.

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
