"Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him." Genesis 40:23

While in prison Joseph meets up with Pharaoh's butler and baker. Both come to Joseph for help with different dream they both had experienced. Joseph by the hand of God interprets the dreams for both men. Joseph correctly tells the baker that Pharaoh will have him executed, but he tells the butler that Pharaoh will restore him to his position. Joseph asks the butler to remember him when he is released and restored to his original position. He asked the butler to tell Pharaoh about him, but once released the butler forgets all about Joseph. Joseph had to heartbroken again, and though he had been forgotten by man he was never forgotten by God.

In our walk with the Lord we will face times of distress and difficulty, when we are forgotten and forsaken by man. But, we will never be forsaken by God! Jesus warned us that we may face time when our families and friends would forsake us, but He never would! No matter what we face Jesus is always there with us! Maybe today you find yourself like Joseph, forsaken by family and friends. Know this, Jesus will never forsake you! Jesus is a friend who will stick closer to you than a brother! Rejoice; you are not alone! Jesus is with you, and will deliver you and protect from any and all adversities you may face!
