"So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?"  

Genesis 37:10

Joseph has an incredible dream about the future God had planned for him. Joseph saw that he would be a great ruler, so great that he would rule over his father and brothers. The idea of Joseph ruling over them didn't please any of his brothers or his father; in fact it angered them all. They made fun of Joseph and tried to down play the dream God had put in his heart. Joseph had to face those who would try to crush the dream God gave him, but in the end Joseph would overcome and his dream would become reality.

Like Joseph, it is often those closest to us that try to discourage us from following through with the dreams God puts in our hearts. Perhaps God has shown you a picture of the future and when you shared it with others you were ridiculed and made fun of for it. Hold tight to what God has put in your heart! No matter what others may say about your dream, don't let go! God has a plan for your life; don't allow the discouragers of this life to steal that dream. Hold to the dream and dare to believe God for what He has placed in your heart, regardless of what other may say!
