"Then he erected an altar there and called it El Elohe Israel." Genesis 33:20

Jacob now peacefully reunited with his brother had come a long way. His journey began with deceit and deception, as he fled from his brother and home land to a place of wrestling with God and being renamed Israel by the Lord Himself. Jacob had seen the "Mighty" hand of God at work in his life. He had experienced the favor of God. The greatness of God had become a reality to Jacob. Now as he stands blessed and delivered he erects an altar to the Lord and calls it El Elohe Israel meaning "Mighty Is the God of Israel". Through all of Jacob's travels and experiences he had come to learn how "Mighty" his God truly is!

Today as the redeemed of the Lord we stand as the Israel of God. We have faced many challenges in are journeys through life, and hopefully we have came to the same conclusion as Jacob, "Mighty Is the God of Israel"! We serve a "Mighty" God! An all powerful God! There is no trial so difficult that He cannot bring us through! There is no giant so big that He can no bring us the victory! Our God is "Mighty"! Know today that you serve a "Mighty" God! A God that is always with you, ready to deliver and bless you with His "Mighty" hand! Expect today and every day to see the "Mighty" hand of God at work in your life!
