God Goes With Us...

"Then the LORD said to Jacob, Return to the land of your fathers and to your family, and I will be with you."

Genesis 31:3

After many years of being away from home, God tells Jacob it's time to pack up and go back. This had to be an unsettling command for Jacob to follow. Jacob had left back home a brother who desired to kill him. Jacob now would bring his entire family into his enemies den. Jacob would seemingly be at the mercy of his brother Esau. But, in reality this was not the case, Jacob was at the mercy of God. And God had every intention of extending that mercy. For it was God who told Jacob to leave, and it was God who assured Jacob that He would be with him!

There are many times God moves us to do things that would seemingly put us in harm's way, but if God has told us to do it we can be confident He will be right there to make our way prosperous. In fact, if God tells us to do something and we don't, we could be setting ourselves up for devastation! When God says, "GO" we must go! And, we should go with the assurance that God is with us to fight for us, and to extend His extravagant grace to us in all we do. Fear not, only believe God! When God says, "DO IT", do it! Don't allow fear to hold you back. Whether by His written Word, or one spoken to your heart by the Holy Spirit, listen to God; He is with you!

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
