Eye On The Prize...
"Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you." Proverbs 4:25
What great advice, "keep your eyes straight ahead". Where your eyes look the rest of your body will eventually follow. The Lord has laid a path before us all that He desires for us to walk. This path ends at the finish line of our life as we cross into eternity. We have one opportunity here on earth to finish our course. The apostle Paul at the end of his life was able to say, he kept the faith, and he had finished his course. Paul was a able to say this because he kept his eyes on the path and didn't allow himself to be distracted. If today you find yourself of course check to see where your eyes are, chances are you've probably got them on something other than the path the Lord has laid before you. Turn your eyes back to the Lord and allow Him to guide you back to the path He originally had for you. Our time on this earth is short, let's stayed focused on the course God has laid for us. Keep your eyes forward looking toward the prize!
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1-2
