"And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness." Genesis 15:6

Abraham was told by God to leave his country and all he knew behind. He didn't know exactly where he was going or what was going to happen, but he did what God told him to do. Now as the years had passed Abraham had grown wealthy, yet in all God had blessed him with he had no children. Abraham's heart was heavy, but God assured him that he would have a child, and his descendents would be as the stars of the sky, innumerable.

Abraham believed God, and because of that he was made right with God. Abraham had no hard evidence to convince him he would have children, but he did have the Word of God. And that was enough for Abraham! God's Word is not backed up by hard evidence, but it is supported by faith. When we hear the Word of God and believe it, great things will happen in our life! God's Word isn't always logical, and can be hard to understand. But if we will just take it on faith, and not waver, it will produce incredible fruit in our lives! Abraham wasn't right with God because of all the things he did, he was right with God because he believed God. When we believe God it will move us to do some strange things, but it will also produce great blessings in our lives!

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
