"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;" 1 Peter 3:15

To sanctify the Lord God in our hearts is to set Him up as the Supreme King of our lives. When Jesus is enthroned He dominates our thought life. He rules the motives and intentions of our heart. He is literally set up in our lives to be everything! He becomes our every desire, and in such becomes the fulfillment of our desires! He lives in us and through us. When Jesus is enthroned we can say as the Apostle Paul did, "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." When Jesus is truly enthroned upon our hearts He is living in us and through us. He is Supreme! And, when Jesus is Supreme in our lives we have no problem telling others of the hope we have in Him. If you want to be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you about the hope you have placed in Jesus, allow Him to be Supreme in your life. Enthrone Him in your heart! Let Jesus be your everything!
