"Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance;" 1 Peter 1:13-14

All those who have received the message of the Gospel have been set free from the sins of the past. Through Jesus we have been pardoned, and now those sinful ways are no longer to have any place in our lives. We are to roll up our sleeves and get to work, as we labor and wait for the return of Jesus. We must not become lazy in our relationship with Christ, slipping back into those old habits of evil, doing only what we feel like doing. We have been set free! Let us stand in the grace we've been given, no longer flirting with the evil ways of our past. Make a choice to day to say "no" to your old self and "yes" to the Spirit of Christ that lives inside you. You are free! Stay that way!

"For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: 'A dog returns to his own vomit,' and, 'a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.'" 2 Peter 2:21-22
