"Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!" James 3:4-5

Our words have incredible power! Whoever said, "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me" never understood the power of words. The Bible teaches us that our words have the power to steer the course of our lives. Look at the direction your life is going, and you will see that it is merely following the course set by your tongue. The words that come out of our mouth may seem of no consequence, but they can accomplish nearly anything, or destroy it! Our words have the power of life and death! They can bring life to a dead situation, or they can bring death to a condition that is full of life. Be aware of the words that are coming out of your mouth! Think before you speak! Take responsibility for the blessings or curses your tongue is proclaiming! Choose to speak words of life every day, into every situation that comes your way!

"He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit. Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive."
