Guest Graduation Speaker
Matthew Heacock (St. Anne's School Class of 2010, Archbishop Spalding Class of 2014, Johns Hopkins University, 2018) will be our alumni speaker at our graduation ceremony. Matthew is finishing his freshman year at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore as a mechanical engineering major and robotics, entrepreneurship and management minor. This year, Matthew earned a spot on the Dean's List and was also one of the few students in his Calculus II class to be awarded an A+ and a special invitation to enroll in the honors program for mathematics majors.
Matthew started at St. Anne's School in the Annapolis Twos program and had his launch into engineering when he participated as a member of the first St. Anne's School Lego League robotics team! In addition, Matthew has worked as a summer counselor for the past five years for the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program at Camp Annapolis. This summer he will work at Viking Systems engineering firm in Annapolis. We wish Matt the best in his future endeavors!

Alumni Induction Lunch
Christie Pavlick (St. Anne's Class of 2011, Anne Arundel County Public Magnet Program (STEM) 2015, Purdue University, 2019) and Victoria Hiller (St. Anne's Class of 2011, Archbishop Spalding Class of 2015, Towson University Class of 2019) spoke to Eighth Graders at the Alumni Induction Luncheon on Tuesday. Both shared advice about navigating the freshman year of high school and how to make a successful start to the year. They each also reflected on their time at St. Anne's School and how they felt prepared both academically and socially for high school. In the fall, Christie will pursue a degree in engineering and Victoria will major in mathematics.
Best wishes to Christie and Victoria and thanks for sharing your advice with our soon to be graduates!
