Portfolio Conferences
Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22
St. Anne's School will hold a half day on Thursday, March 21 and school will be closed on March 22 for Portfolio Conferences. Conferences are student-led in First through Eighth Grade. Please check your email or KidMail for your conference schedule.

Club Ed Available on Thursday, March 21
No AEP, After Care is Available
Club Ed will be available following noon dismissal until 3:10 p.m on Thursday, March 21. The cost of Club Ed is $20. To reserve your spot, please call the front office or email Georgette Koelker at gkoelker@St.AnnesSchool.org.
Please note, there will not be a bus at noon dismissal. The bus will arrive at its normal pick-up time, 3:40 p.m. If you wish to take the bus home on this day, you must sign-up for Club Ed.

Middle School Letters About Literature Finalists Congratulations to Ian Partman, Will Pavlick and Victoria Cronin on being selected as finalists in the 2013 Maryland Letters About Literature contest. St. Anne's School is the only independent school in Anne Arundel County with finalists in this contest and the only school in the county with multiple finalists.
Letters About Literature is a national writing contest sponsored by the Center for the Book at the Library of Congress. Letters About Literature encourages young readers to write to the author of a book expressing how that book changed their view of themselves or the world. Nearly 47,000 letters were submitted to the contest from across the country.

Leading Edge Education Summit Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m.
Families are invited to join us at the culminating event of our 20th Anniversary, our Leading Edge Education Summit. Three educational experts will hold a panel discussion on research-based strategies for raising and educating intellectually, socially and emotionally healthy children. The panel will feature Dr. JoAnn Deak, a brain development expert and author, Dr. Catherine Steiner-Adair, an internationally recognized clinical psychologist, school consultant and author, and Deborah Roffman, a master teacher, author and expert on sexuality education. Each panelist will give a brief overview of her work and then take questions from the audience.
The panel will begin at 7 p.m. Wine and refreshments will be served. We encourage you to invite your friends and spread the word about this exciting event! Tickets are $10 for the general public.

Soup and Crackers Food Drive Bring in Items by Monday, March 18
As the cold and damp weather is still with us, St. Anne's School is continuing its food drive for FoodLink by asking for donations of cans of soup (or stew) and boxes of crackers. We invite you to join us in helping those less fortunate than us by bringing in a can or two of soup and a box of crackers. This food drive will continue until Monday, March 18 at which time the donations will be presented during chapel.

Our Heads for the Day, Edward and James D., announced a special dress day for all students on Thursday, March 21. The theme is "Back to the Beach." Can't wait to see your spring break attire!

A Year with Frog and Toad Friday, April 19, 7 p.m.
All families are invited to join us for a performance of A Year with Frog and Toad, presented by our Eighth Grade class. The musical will start at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 19.
