But now we need your help in an even more tangible way. Read more

Your legacy at AHMA
by Molly Roberts, MD
One of the advantages to being an organization that has been around for a long time is we can build successfully on the good work and dedication others have already put into our beloved AHMA. I got a feel for the richness of our holistic medicine heritage when we convened our first Past Presidents' Council meeting recently. Read more

Collective Energy
by Steve Cadwell
In an opinion piece in last month's Time , the writer argued for the necessity of organized religion. Institutions and "obligations," he says, offer and do more for people than what might be found by those who are "spiritual but not religious," a growing category of Americans explored and quantified by a recent Pew report. "Institutions can be slow, plodding, dictatorial... But institutions are also the only mechanism human beings know to perpetuate ideologies and actions." I learned something about the community that exists within AHMA, of the members for the members. Read more

Holistic
Medicine
And You Need Each Other
|
You know why you joined AHMA. You know why you practice medicine as you do. More and more, people - your patients - are looking for the integrative, holistic approach to managing their health. At each AHMA retreat, we realize that you, as well as each member, need one another to remain whole, healthy, and able to help others. AHMA doesn't have chapters in every state, however, we want to help you connect with like-minded professionals whenever and wherever possible. So please, help us help you. If you want to start a chapter in your area, please contact Steve Cadwell; bookmark our calendar and check it often to find helpful events and opportunities to earn CMEs or other applicable education credits. To place events on our calendar that others might benefit from, send an email to Claudia. Thanks for helping us connect you with other members!
