Today as the sun rose over the Cahaba River at Centreville efforts to find the identity of  Bibb County's Unknown Boy continues as his body is being exhumed.   Officials hope new technology can help identify him.

As Big Daddy Weave spoke with members of the media backstage at the K-LOVE Fan Awards, front man Mike Weaver shared difficult news.   His little brother is battling a serious infection.   Jay, or "J dawg" as the group calls him, plays bass for the band and contributes vocally.   In the last three days Jay has required amputation of both feet as doctors try to save him and stop a very serious infection.

Mike Weaver asked for his little brother: 
"Pray, just Pray, please please Pray."

Alabama town 'in shock' after sisters are killed.


"The churches are praying for the family and we thought it would be a help to collect money for them,'' said Brent Mayor, Dennis Stripling.

 "We hope people will respond."

Donations can be made in person at Brent City Hall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., except on Wednesdays when they are open from 8 a.m. until noon. Donations can also be mailed to P.O. Box 220, Brent, Alabama, 35034.

Gary Palmer's town hall breakfast held on Thursday, June 2nd at the Sawmill Restaurant in Brent drew over 40 people to hear what the Congressman had to say.   

Congressman Palmer presented plans to bring jobs back to rural Alabama.
